William B. Freeman, 92 of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. A visitation for Mr. Freeman will be held at 9:00am until 10:30am, at Lemons Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00am in Plainview Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
William Breswell Freeman was born on June 12, 1932, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to John and Ora (Ivey) Freeman. He moved to Plainview, Texas and went to school at Running Water Grade School. He then moved to Elida, New Mexico in 1946 and graduated in 1951. He entered the United States Air Force from 1951-1954 and served in Guam from 1952-1953 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
Bill met Jackie May Cline at church in Edmonson, Texas. They married on November 27, 1954, in Clovis, New Mexico. They were blessed with four children: Doug, Brad, Eric, and Vicki. They lived in Earth, Texas for 64 years. His occupations included barber, roofer, painter, and farmer until retiring in 1980.
Bill is survived by three sons, Doug and Jill Freeman of Plainview, Brad and Cathi Freeman of Earth, and Eric and Kelly Freeman of Lubbock; one daughter, Vicki Freeman of Lubbock; two brothers-in-law, Joe and Joyce Cline and Charles and Ledoris Good; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie in 2016; his mother and father, brothers, Vernal, Don, and Grady; and sisters, Doris, and Louise.
