Wanda Ramsey, 86 of Plainview passed away on August 6, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home. Wanda was born on August 9, 1933 in Sherman, Texas to Edwin and Ora Lee (Christopher) King. She attended schools in Turkey, Texas and graduated from Turkey High School in 1950. Wanda married Ray Doyle Ramsey on January 23, 1951 in Clovis, N.M. They lived in Quitaque before moving to Plainview in 1972. Wanda loved her clothes and shoes and enjoyed working with ceramics. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Wanda is survived by one son, Darrell Ramsey of Lubbock; four brothers, Bob King of Arlington, Johnny King of Turkey, Mike King of Plano and Dennis King of Pampa; six sisters, Loretta Zinsmeyer of Pearsall, Joy Turner of Turkey, Phillis Geisler of Earth, Ivanell Gafford of Grand Prairie, Evorie Jones of Lake Texoma and Elaine King of Austin. She is preceded in death by her husband and one son, Don Ramsey.
