Viola Robertson, 83, of Plainview, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Plainview Health Care. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Plainview Cemetery, with Hospice Chaplain Oscar Chavez officiating. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Viola Robertson was born on February 14, 1930 in Oklahoma to Jack and Maude Malone. She was an extremely hard worker, having worked in the fields growing up. She became a Certified Nurse's Aide and worked at High Plains Nursing Home until she retired. Viola was a good mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Viola is survived by her children: Orville Garza and his wife, Brenda, of Plainview; Robert Garza of Plainview; Linda Moore of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Joe Garza and his wife, Linda, of California; and Wayne Robertson of Dallas; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Lydia Hawthorne, Don Malone, Marian Malone, and May Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Elam Malone, Myrtle Brookes, Omer Malone, Roy Malone, Tom Malone, and Clara Lee Taylor.
