Victoria "Tola" Martinez, 81, of Plainview, Texas passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026. A visitation will be held at 4:00pm, with a Holy Rosay being recited at 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Tola was born on November 17, 1944, in McCamey, Texas to Dolores Martinez and Angelita Montez. She worked at Plainview Independent School District for over 25 years as a custodian before retiring.
Tola cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed gathering with loved ones for meals and fellowship. She was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. Known for her nurturing spirit, Tola was a mother figure to many and found great joy in sharing special moments with her sisters. Her faith was an important part of her life. Tola was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Angie Raissez and husband Michael of Plainview, Texas; her sisters, Cecilia Rincon of Plainview, Texas, Candelaria Rodgers and husband Lupe of Plainview, Texas and Alicia Alvarado and husband Miguel of Olton, Texas; her sister-in-law, Virginia Martinez of Plainview, Texas, and many numerous nieces and nephews she cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Angelita Martinez, her brother, Adan Martinez, a sister, Marcelina Delgado, and a niece, Victoria “Vicky” Saenz.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Robert Martinez and nurse Tina for their exceptional care, gentle guidance, and genuine compassion.
