The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Trinity Life Church with Steve Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Lockney Cemetery.

Velen was born on March 5, 1963 in Lockney Texas to Frank and Adelaida (Luna) Sanchez. She had a career as a Certified Nurse's Assistant and enjoyed helping people. Velen enjoyed reading, attending garage sales and watching WWE. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her father Frank Sanchez; one granddaughter, Zaybree Tarín; two sisters, Patsy Sanchez and Yolanda Aguirre and two brothers, Hinacio Contreras and Jesús Aguirre.

She is survived by her mother, Adelaida of Lockney; one son, Cesar Cienfuegos and wife Amanda; two daughters, Anna Sanmartin and husband Vicente and Abby Gonzales and husband Lorenzo; 16 grandchildren, all of Lockney; two brothers, Frank Sanchez and Pedro Hernandez; five sisters, Sylvia Salazar, Maria Sinsley, Carolina Constantine, Consuelo Sanches and Adelaida Hernandez.
