Twyla Woodring, 74 of Plainview, passed away on August 28, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marcus Flores officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Twyla was born on December 16, 1946, to Willie and Joyce (Clayton) Goodman in Littlefield. She graduated from Olton High School and attended Wayland Baptist University. Twyla graduated from South Plains College and received her LVN license.  She was a nurse for 12 years. Twyla always stayed busy and had many different hobbies that she enjoyed such as writing poems, artistic arts & crafts, genealogy, and photography. She volunteered with Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts of America and Runningwater Draw RSVP in Plainview. She taught Sunday School and also worked at the Plainview Daily Herald. Twyla enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Jack Gullet, Perry Gullet and Bob Gullet.

Twyla is survived by a son: Richard A.W. Woodring of Johnson City, TN; two daughters: TomaLine Lopez of Franklin, IN and Tammy Woodring of Grand Isle, NE; one brother: Kenneth Gullet of Houston; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
