Teresita "Teresa" Martinez, age 84 formerly of Plainview, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, in Colorado. A viewing will be at 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center, Texas. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery. Funeral Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Teresa was born in Quitaque, Texas on May 20, 1940, to Eufemio Balderas and Sara Samora. She liked to eat, shop, crochet and make blankets.

Teresa is preceded in death by one son, Carlos Martinez, Jr., her parents, Eufemio and Sara Balderas; four brothers, Juan, Frank, Lalo, and Bennie Balderas; and four sisters, Martha, Emma, Leandra, and Martina.

Teresa is survived by two sons, Ruben Martinez of Plainview, and Fermin Martinez and his wife, Gloria of Midland; four brothers, Luis Balderas of Hale Center, Marcos Balderas of Big Spring, Martin Balderas of Lubbock, and Uracio Balderas of Hale Center; and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
