Susan Solis, 71 of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. A funeral service for Ms. Solis will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery. Family will have a visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4:00pm-8:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Susan Solis was born on July 21, 1953, in Hale Center, Texas to Benito and Angelina Solis. Susan and partner Abel Badillo spent 29 wonderful years together.
Susan loved listening to her Tejano music and dancing, she was known as the "Dancing Queen." She was a believer in Christ and loved to follow the lord. She never met a stranger and was always forgiving and full of love. Susan was very charismatic, graceful, and known to be the sweetest person. Above all she loved her beautiful daughters and grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her 5 daughters: Anna Borjas and husband Zach Harmon of Plainview, Texas, Lucinda Perez and husband Roberto of Fort Worth, Texas, Dorothy Frazier and husband Kris of North Richland Hills, Texas, Melinda Diaz and husband Roland of Denton, Texas and Brittany Flores and husband Zach of Hale Center, Texas; her partner, Abel Badillo; and her twenty grandchildren: Ricky Borjas, Kimberly Borjas, Rebecca Borjas, Meagon Borjas, Korben Harmon, Kylee Harmon, Kristian Graves, Michael Diaz, Marissa Diaz, Jeremiah Diaz, Bella Perez, Noah Perez, Nathan Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Alejandro Diaz, Gabriel Diaz, Aiden Flores, Armani Flores "AJ", Addysyn Flores and Amari Flores; sixteen great-grandchildren, three brothers: Arthur Perez, Jr. and wife Georgina of Dixon, California, Gene Solis of San Antonio, Texas, and Basilio and wife Lettie of Houston, Texas; one sister; Marianne Solis-Kumley of San Antonio, Texas.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Angelina Solis, one sister, Barbara Rocha and one brother, Ben Solis III.
