Sarah V. Diaz, 62, of Plainview, passed away on October 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mrs. Diaz will be David Diaz, Roland Diaz, Ernest Picasso, Daniel Gallardo, Antonio Diaz and Pedro Diaz.
Sarah was born on January 16, 1955 in Mineral, Texas to Miguel and Isabel (Rodrigues) Villa. She married Ignacio Diaz on June 10, 1973 in Plainview.
Sarah was a kind, loving and generous person. She found tremendous joy in bringing joy to others. She spent much of her life making life easier for anyone she could. Sarah loved shopping at Walmart and watching all the Madea movies! She enjoyed dancing and making her family smile.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Esther Parrish and Trinidad Mares.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 44 years, Ignacio of the home; two sons, David Diaz and his wife Annette Ybarra and Roland Diaz and his wife Melinda Treviño, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Soledad Diaz of Plainview, Michelle Diaz of Canton, Ohio and Rebecca Gallardo and her husband Daniel of Plainview. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Ruban Mora, Jr., Daytan Mora, Vanessa Diaz, Ellana Diaz, Mathayus Diaz, Sebastian Diaz, Alejandro Diaz, Gabriel Diaz, Bethany Gallardo, Ethan Gallardo and Daniel Gallardo, Jr. and 3 great-grandchildren, Kaleb Gallardo, Jayden Mora and Ivy Mora. She is also survived by one brother, Luis Villa and two sisters, Rosa Asevedo and Simona Juarez.
