Sara De La Cerda, 27 of Plainview, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026. The family of Sara De La Cerda will have a come and go visitation from 10:00am to 8:00pm, with a prayer service at 6:00pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel.
Sara was born on August 1, 1998, in Fort Worth, Texas to Corina Lopez Diaz and Jose De La Cerda. Sara graduated from Plainview High School in 2016 and went on to work at United Supermarket where she met many wonderful people. She loved her United family. After leaving United, she worked as a dedicated caregiver at Beehive Homes of Plainview. Sara had a compassionate heart and found great fulfillment in caring for others.
Sara had a deep love for her cats, Olivia, Elliot, and Alex, who brought her constant joy. She was known for her creativity and talent, often spending her time knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Sara also found happiness in helping those around her, always offering kindness and support whenever it was needed. Sara loved all the friends she made over the years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother and step father, Corina Diaz and Antonio Diaz; six sisters: Andrea Diaz, Laura Gutierrez and husband Isac, Alyssa Diaz, Monica Gonzales, Marcie Gonzales all of Plainview, Texas and Rebecca De La Cerda of Ballinger, Texas; six brothers: Greg De La Cerda and wife, Jessica of Plainview, Texas, Jesus De La Cerda of Hale Center, Texas, Jose De La Cerda, Jr., and Johnathan Diaz both of Plainview, Texas, Michael Diaz and wife, Hillary of Robstown, Texas and Edward Diaz and wife Mandy of Corpus Christi, Texas; maternal grandfather, Baldamar Lopez and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jose De La Cerda; maternal grandmother, Janie Lopez; one aunt, Angelina Diaz; one uncle, Pete Diaz; one cousin, Andrew Lopez.
