Santiago "Jimmy" Medellin, 66 of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Plainview. Viewing and Funeral Service will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Viewing for Mr. Medellin will be at 3:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Santiago "Jimmy" was born in Haskell, Texas on October 1, 1956, to Manuel Medellin, Jr., and Guadalupe (Hernandez) Medellin. He married Manuela Falcon, July 29, 1978, in Plainview, Texas. Santiago loved being a farmer and farmed for 40 years.  He enjoyed music, dancing and playing pool.  He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart.

Santiago "Jimmy" is survived by his wife, Manuela Medellin; three sons: Santiago Medellin (Annette), Julian Medellin (Olivia) all of Plainview, and Marty and Crystal Medellin of Floydada; one daughter, Mary Lou Medellin (Mike Perez) of Mission, Texas; seven brothers: Guadalupe, Joe, Reynaldo, Manuel, Jesse, and Freddy Medellin all of Tulia and Edward Medellin of Amarillo; three sisters: Ester Martinez, Rachel Chavez and Yolanda Luna, all of Tulia; seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Santiago is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel, and Guadalupe Medellin, one sister, Juana Medellin, and one brother, Robert Medellin.
