Santiago Lugo of Lubbock, formerly of Kress, Texas passed away February 6, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral Mass for Mr. Lugo will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview, with Father George Poonely as celebrant. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM, Monday, February 10, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview. Interment will take place at Kress Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Mr. Lugo was born December 8, 1969 to Matias Jesus and Guadalupe (De La Cruz) Lugo in Plainview. He attended Kress Schools. Santiago loved working in his garden and shared his bounty and made extra money by selling his harvest. Santiago showed his love to those around him by playfully talking trash.

Santiago was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Luis and two sisters; Lupita and Elizabeth.

Santiago will be greatly missed by two brothers: Jesse (Elizabeth) Lugo of Titusville, Florida and Arturo (Manuela) Ledesma of Garland, Texas; Three sisters: Maria (Rick) Vasquez of Plainview, Sandra (Kenneth) Grubbs of San Antonio and Leticia (George) Serna of Tulia, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
