There will be a prayer service held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.
Ruben was born on July 29, 1961, in Dimmitt, Texas to Miguel "Mike" Niño, Sr. and Manuela Vasquez Niño. He graduated from Dimmitt High School. On November 21, 2009, he married Patricia Blanco in Lockney.
Ruben came from a large family. He was blessed with siblings and friends who loved him dearly. He is described as a jokester with a kind heart. You always knew where you stood with Ruben because he didn't pull any punches. He never met a stranger and people loved him everywhere he went. Patricia was the love of his life and he was completely devoted to her. They attended Abundant Grace Church in Plainview.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lupe Niño and two sisters, Virginia Gonzalez and Marlene Niño.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved bride, Pat Niño, of the home; one daughter, Nikki Niño of San Antonio; three sisters, Alice Rieves of Odessa, Bonnie Turner of Wolverton, Minnesota and Marlene Mendoza of Muleshoe, Texas and six brothers, Mike Niño, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, John Niño, of Hereford, Richard Niño of Lockhart, Edward Niño of Amarillo, Gilbert Niño of Ft. Worth and Joe Niño of Lubbock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
