Rosendo Vega, 95 of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Funeral Service for Mr. Vega will be at 11:00am, Friday, August 19, 2022, at Templo Emmanuel with Reverend Esperanza Vaquera officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Prayer Service will be at 7:00pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Templo Emmanuel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Rosendo Vega was born on August 30, 1926, to Manuel Vega and Martina Lugo Vega, in Raymondville, Texas. He was married to Enriqueta Martinez for forty years until she passed away. Rosendo was a farmer for many years and loved working on the farm. He enjoyed cookouts and hanging out with his family. More than anything else, Rosendo was a man of God and loved reading the bible. He would always encourage his family to go to church and follow the Lord. He would put God first and then his family and loved all his grandchildren. Until the day he died he would make sure that his family knew how much he loved them.

Mr. Vega is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel, and Martina Vega; his wife, Enriqueta Martinez Vega; one son, Raymundo Martinez; two daughters: Beatrice Martinez and Rosario Vega; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and three great-great grandsons; four brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his son, James Vega, and wife Becky; two daughters: Mary and husband Ray Mora and Juanita Martinez, all of Plainview and daughter-in-law, Maryann Martinez of Midland.

Rosendo Vega, de 95 años de Plainview, falleció el martes 9 de agosto de 2022. El servicio fúnebre para el Sr. Vega será a las 11:00 a.m., el viernes 19 de agosto de 2022, en el Templo Emmanuel con la Reverenda Esperanza Vaquera oficiando. Rosendo Vega nació el 30 de agosto de 1926, hijo de Manuel Vega y Martina Lugo Vega, en Raymondville, Texas. Estuvo casado con Enriqueta Martínez durante cuarenta años hasta que ella falleció. Rosendo fue agricultor durante muchos años y le encantaba trabajar en la granja. Disfrutaba las parrilladas y pasar tiempo con su familia. Más que cualquier otra cosa, Rosendo era un hombre de Dios y amaba leer la Biblia. Siempre animaba a su familia a ir a la iglesia y seguir al Señor. Él pondría a Dios primero y luego a su familia y amaba a todos sus nietos. Hasta el día de su muerte se aseguraba de que su familia supiera cuánto los amaba.

El Sr. Vega es precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Manuel y Martina Vega; su esposa, Enriqueta Martínez Vega; un hijo, Reymundo Martínez; dos hijas: Beatrice Martínez y Rosario Vega; una nieta, una bisnieta y tres tataranietos; cuatro hermanos y cuatro hermanas.

Le sobreviven su hijo, James Vega, y su esposa Becky; dos hijas: Mary y su esposo Ray Mora y Juanita Martínez, todas de Plainview y su nuera, Maryann Martínez de Midland.
