Rosa Ybarra, 92, of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Plainview, Texas. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Templo Sinai Church in Plainview, with Pastor Hermilo Perez officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Ybarra was born on December 18, 1921 in Yorktown, TX to the late Eulalio and Delores (Rios) Munoz. She married Manuel R. Ybarra on September 5, 1939 in Waco, TX. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2004. She spent her life taking care of her family as a homemaker. Mrs. Ybarra was a self taught seamstress at a very young age. She loved going to church and praising the Lord, also loved visiting with her friends, gardening, and especially children. People around town loved her and would call her Grandma. She was a member of Templo Emmanuel Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, four sisters, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one son-in-law. Survivors include one sister Luisa Rangel of Fresno, CA, sons; Samuel (Jacque) of Duncan, OK, Ernesto (Alicia), David (Mary), both of Amarillo, TX, Elias (Melissa) Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM, and Ismael, Bisente (Delia), Manuel Jr. (Sylvia), Raul "Rudy", Ruben Ybarra, and Roland Flores all of Plainview, TX, Mrs. Ybarra is also survived by four daughters; Eliza Rodiguez of San Juan, TX, Andrea Ybarra (Albert) Conejo of Lubbock, TX, Esperanza (Arturo) Vaquera, and Anita (Julian) Soto, both of Plainview, TX. She was blessed with thirty four grandchildren, seventy nine great-grandchildren, and thirty five great-great grandchildren.
