Rosa Martinez, 86 of Hart, Texas passed away on May 22, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hart, Texas with Father Raj Malapady officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hart, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Rosa was born on November 12, 1934 in Charlotte, Texas to Rafael and Agapita (Santos) Escalera. She married Pablo Martinez on January 15, 1964 in Dimmitt, Texas. Pablo passed away on February 8, 1991. She lived in Hart, Texas for 57 years. She loved her family, her flowers and enjoyed puzzles and sewing. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hart.

Rosa is survived by two sons, Luis Martinez of Hart, TX and Enrique (Lisa) Martinez of Clarkesville, TN; five daughters, Margarita (Doug) Sharpless of Milton, FL, Dolores Martinez (Don) Frye of Abingdon, VA, Patricia Martinez of Peele, AR; Mary Helen (Martin) Rosas of Hart, TX and Victoria (Ken) Milus of Hart, TX; two brothers, Jose Escalera of California and Felix Escalera of Hart, TX; one sister, Maria Rios of California. She is preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and three sisters.
