Robert M. Vasquez, 75, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. Viewing for Mr. Vasquez will be at 2:00pm until 8:00pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00am, Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Robert was born in Robstown, Texas on August 14, 1948, to Enrique Vasquez and Enedina (Morales) Vasquez. He married Mary Camargo in Plainview, Texas on August 4, 1973, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he served as a Communion Minister, lector, CCE teacher, bus driver for the church, and a marriage counselor. He served his community by volunteering for meals on wheels, Christmas with Santa, RSVP to name a few. He enjoyed being of service to anyone he could help.

He loved working in his well-kept yard, tending to his roses and plants, doing woodwork, and repairing things around the house. He especially loved his yorkie, Chachi.

Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by those he leaves to cherish his memories.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Vasquez, his two sons, Robert Vasquez and Anthony Vasquez  and his wife, Candace M. Vasquez, his two grandchildren, Jordan and Jaxon Vasquez; seven brothers: Santos Vasquez, Juan (Aurora) Vasquez, Joe Albert Vasquez, Fabian Vasquez, Aurelia (Alicia) Vasquez, Ernest Vasquez, Enrique (Beatrice) Vasquez, Jr.; five sisters: Enna Vasquez, Carmen (Domingo) Quintania, Rosie (Joe) Treviño, Mary Rodriguez, and Linda Hardin.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Enrique, and Enedina Vasquez.
