Robert Ambriz, 60, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Wichita Falls. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Father George Poonely, Sacred heart Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Robert was born on June 17,1960 in Lubbock, Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe (Lara) Ambriz. His family moved to Kress a short time later where Robert was raised. He was a graduate of Plainview High School. In 1975 he met Juanita Alcoser and they married on July 15th, 1978. Together they had 2 daughters and spent many years as husband and wife. The marriage later ended, but the two remained friends and had a close bond. He worked in the shipping department at Walmart Distribution Center for 8 years. Robert was kind, funny and a loving family man. He enjoyed doing yardwork and keeping his yard looking its best. He loved to cook on the grill and hang out while listening to music. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Robert would do anything to help anyone, especially his daughters. His 3 grandchildren were his world, he cherished every moment spent with them. Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed by family and friends and the memories of him will be treasured by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Eva Ambriz; and a brother in law: Fernando Pena.
Robert is survived by the mother of his children: Juanita Alcoser; two daughters: Amanda (Chris) Ambriz Gomez, and Julia Ambriz of Plainview; three grandchildren Jahnelle Jazmin, Nathan Alan, and Khloe Amanda; a brother: Daniel Ambriz, and step brother Ruben Marin both of Plainview; two sisters: Helen (Jessie) Delgado of Lubbock, and Josephine Pena of Plainview, and several nieces and nephews.
