Rita Bullard King, 75 of Kress, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Viewing and Funeral Service for Mrs. King will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 22, 2021. Viewing will begin at 12PM and Funeral Service will follow at 2PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Rita Mae was born March 10, 1946, in Ballinger, Texas to John Duncan and Nina Mae (Dudley) Bullard. She married Jesse King in 1993 in Littlefield, Texas. She loved playing Bingo, dearly loved her family, and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Jesse King of Kress; one son: Johnny Taylor of Kress; three daughters: Elizabeth Ann Klare (Ward) of Slaton, Sherri Dennis of Lubbock, and Paula Murtha (Mike) of Lakewood, Washington; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Shirley Buchanan of Anton and Wanda Fails of Soper, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: George, Ray, Norman, Fred, Roy and Truman Bullard.
