Richard Cerda, 71 of Plainview, passed away on October 28, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Richard was born on February 19, 1949 in Plainview, Texas to Manuel and Millie Mitchell. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1968 and attended Amarillo Junior College. Richard was the owner of Cerda Dental Lab in Clovis, N.M. until his retirement. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Richard enjoyed knitting and playing pool and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by one son, Ricardo Cerda of Hereford; two daughters, Liza Dominguez and Rebecca Cerda both of Amarillo; his mother, Millie Mitchell of Plainview; four brothers, Ruben Mitchell of Fritch, TX, Danny Mitchell of Yuma, Arizona and Robert Mitchell of Denton, TX, Jacob Mitchell of Plainview, TX; two sisters, Kathy Mitchell of Slaton, TX and Nina Mitchell of Plainview; ten grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Richard Lee; his father, Manuel Mitchell and one brother, David Cerda.
