Ricardo Moreno Rubio, 90 of Plainview, passed away on April 7, 2021. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Bill Anton officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Ricardo was born on April 3, 1931 to Esteban and Petra Moreno Rubio in Hualahuiises, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ricardo was a hardworking, family man who worked as a farmer for most of his life. In September of 1986, Ricardo married Benita Munoz and were married 25 years. He worked for the Co-op Gin for 35years and retired in 2011. Ricardo enjoyed gardening in his spare time and liked to watch baseball with his favorite team being the New York Yankees. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Ricardo will be missed dearly by his loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Jorge Alvarez Rubio; grandson: Esteban Rubio Jr. and a brother Manuel Rubio.

Ricardo is survived by his wife; three sons: Esteban Rubio of Sherman, Jessie Rubio of Fort Worth, and Richard Rubio of Plainview; one daughter: Maria Bustos of Plainview; three brothers: Ignacio Rubio of Donna Texas, Silverio Rubio of McAllen, and Guadalupe Rubio of Hualahuiises, Mexico; one sister: Teresa Rubio Rodriguez of Hualahuiises, Mexico; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
