Rene Cardona, 49 formerly of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Midland, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Services are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Rene was a forklift driver by trade, but his true passion was being a mechanic. He loved to work on cars and was very good at it. He had a knack for carpentry and indoor woodworking as well. Rene was an amateur tattoo artist and he loved to cheer on his teams, the Texas Longhorns and of course, the Dallas Cowboys. You could find him playing baseball with his youngest children.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons: Rene Cardona, Jr. and his girlfriend Shelby of Minnesota, Rene Kane Cardona of Plainview, Texas; his two daughters: Bianca Cardona and Kandi Gallardo, both of Plainview, Texas; his father, Faustino Cardona, Jr. of Midland, Texas; his two sisters: Danielle Guzman and husband Antonio, of Midland, Texas, and Maryann Cardona, of Odessa, Texas; his grandchildren: Zay'Drian Cardona and Autumn Rose of Plainview, Texas.

Rene is preceded in death by his mother, Alida Mireles.
