Rebecca "Becky" Rushing, born November 4, 1966 in Farmington, NM, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was 58 years old. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Rebecca was the daughter of Jimmy Rushing and Nita Jo Rushing (Eiland), both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Plainview High School in Plainview, TX in 1985. Her vibrant spirit, love of family, sharp wit, and unwavering belief in embracing your true self left an impression on everyone who knew her.

An avid lover of rock and metal music, Rebecca filled her world with creativity and color. Whether she was working on arts and crafts, spending time with her family, or exploring new ways to express herself, she approached life with humor and imagination. Her relationship with God was a guiding light throughout her life, and her faith was evident in her kindness and resilience.

Rebecca is survived by her two sons, Andrew Gunter and Mitchell Gunter; three cherished grandchildren; and her two brothers, Steven Pope and Jody Pope. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and laughter that will live on through her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
