Randy Hernandez, 57 of Plainview, passed away on Friday. June 14, 2024, at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Randy was born on May 14, 1967, to Manuel C. Hernandez and Nieves (Delgado) Hernandez. He grew up in Floydada, Texas and was raised by his paternal grandparents, Eugenio Hernandez, and Antonia Cortez Hernandez, (Su mama Grande). for the first several years of his life. Randy married the love of his life Linda Peralez, and they shared a union of love that lasted a lifetime. Together, for the past 37 years, they built a beautiful family, and their love was a shining example for all who knew them.
Randy enjoyed building different collectables for his family and repairing old music equipment. He loved listening to music and making people laugh but he absolutely enjoyed spending time with his family.
Randy is survived by his wife, Arlinda Hernandez of Plainview; two sons, Randall Hernandez, and Brandon Hernandez both of Plainview; and one daughter, Shyanne Hernandez (Ricardo Gomez) of Plainview; two grandchildren, Ellena and Oliver Gomez; four brothers, Manuel Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Adam Hernandez of Brownwood, Juan Hernandez of Plainview, and Paul Trevino of Lubbock; three sisters, Eva Vasquez of Floydada, Lupe Gutierrez of Floydada, and Olivia Zarnack of New Jersey; mother-in-law, Guadalupe Peralez of Plainview; two brothers-in-law, Joe Peralez of Plainview, and Paul Peralez of Lubbock; three sisters-in-law, Leticia Longoria of Plainview, Gracie Hernandez of San Antonio, and Melisa Peralez of Austin; and nineteen nephews, eleven nieces, and four Godchildren.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel, and Nieves Hernandez; his grandparents, Eugenio, and Antonia Hernandez; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Gutierrez, and Walter Zarnack; one niece, Antonia Hernandez; one nephew, Joshua Scholer, and his father-in-law, Jose Peralez.
