Ramona always worked hard, as evident by her working in the cotton fields. She not only raised her children but helped in raising her siblings. She was educated in the routes of life.
Ramona loved everyone, never knowing a stranger. Her love and kindness for her family, friends and community showed in her willingness to help anyone she could. She enjoyed sitting outside, especially if she saw her favorite bird, the red Cardinal, going to Jamaica's, sewing, shopping, dancing, and listening to music and she made the best huevos rancheros.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro H. Morales; a daughter, Jesusa Lira; a son, Eduardo Moncado; her parents, Silverio Amador, Sr. and Feliz Amado; three brothers, Simon Amador, Luis Amador, and Silveria Amador, Jr.; and two sisters, Maria Cabrera, and Rosa Jasso.
Ramona is survived by her three sons, Reverend Pedro Morales, Jr. (Isabel) of Waxahachie, TX, Francisco "Profe" Morales (Gloria) of Plainview, and Daniel Morales (Diane "Donna") of Logan, NM; three daughters, Maria Trevino (Luis) of Fate, TX, Estella Rodriguez (Abdon) of Tulia, TX, and Guadalupe "Lupe" Morales (Ben) of Kress, TX; two brothers, Juan Amador (Lupe) of Lawton, OK, and Trinidad Amador (Esther) of Yancey, TX; one sister, Stella Deleon of Yancey, TX; and twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses of Interim Healthcare of Plainview, Alex, Laura, Kirsten, and Kimberly for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Morales.
