Obituary

Phillip "Cowboy" Godino, Jr., 47 of Plainview, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Phillip was born on December 3, 1974, in Dimmitt, Texas to Phillip Godino and Delia Lopez Godino. He enjoyed riding horses, Rodeos, fishing, raising chickens, and pressing cowboy hats. He loved his dogs and was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Texas Tech fan.

Phillip is survived by his mother and stepfather Delia Godino and Angel Medina of Plainview; his father and stepmother, Phillip and Yolanda Godino of Plainview; one brother, Andy Sr. and Virginia Godino of Amarillo; three sisters, Monica Godino of Tulsa, OK, Wendy Godino and Israel DeLeon of San Angelo, TX, and Sandy and Daffrean Jenkins of Plainview; twelve nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and one cousin.
