Pete Medellin, 51 of Plainview, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at his residence. A visitation/viewing will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a prayer service at 6:00pm, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A funeral service for Mr. Medellin will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Pete was born on April 12, 1975, in Taylor, Texas to Guadalupe Manuel Medellin and Angelita Juarez Medellin. He was a member of the Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ Church in Plainview.

Pete enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, and dice. He also enjoyed listening to country music and taking walks. More than anything, he loved going to church, taking care of his mom and gathering with his family.

Pete is survived by his four sons, Pete Medellin, Fernando Medellin (Emelia), Jonathan Medellin, all three of Nebraska, and Isaac Loza of Amarillo; his father, Guadalupe Medellin of Plainview and his mother,Angelita Medellin of Plainview; two brothers, Manuel and Randy Medellin of Plainview; two sisters, Linda Borrego (Martin) of Plainview, and Maggie Figueroa (Juan) of Dumas.
