Pedro Diaz, Jr., 71 of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at his residence. The family of Mr. Diaz will host a visitation on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 2:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Pedro was born on December 16, 1952, in Mexico to Pedro and Soledad Diaz. He attended and graduated from Plainview High School in 1973. He married Tammie Waddell on April 27, 2001.

Pedro was a musician, and his life revolved around music. He was a handyman and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro, and Soledad Diaz, one sister, Angelina Diaz, one sister-in-law, Sarah Diaz and his children's mother, Sarah Eva Balderas.

Pedro is survived by his wife, Tammie Diaz of Amarillo, two sons, Armando Diaz (Diane) of Abilene, Kris Diaz (Cindy) of Amarillo; three stepsons, William Lamberson, Michael Shawn Waddell (Bobbie), and James West Waddell all of Naples, Texas; four daughters, Rachel Lopez (Elzid) of Ballinger, Jessica Carrillo of El Paso, Diana Balderas (Ramon Banda) of Friona, and Jennifer Sanchez of Amarillo; one step-daughter, Kimberly Smith (Trent) of Farmersville, Texas; four brothers, Ignacio, Frank, Jose Angel, and Antonio Diaz all of Plainview; one sister, Rebecca Gallardo (Daniel) of Plainview; thirty grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
