Pedro H. Hernandez, 80 of Lockney, passed away on November 3, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2023 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral services are under the care of the Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Pedro was born August 1, 1943, in Alamo, Texas to Manuel Balderas Saenz and Manuela Hernandez Saenz. He married Juana Torres in September of 1973. He attended Technical School for Mechanics and worked as Gin Supervisor at D&J Gin and Co-Op Gin in Lockney, Texas.

Pedro enjoyed working on cars and playing the lottery.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Juana Hernandez; and his first wife, Maria Sebastina Galvan; his parents, Manuel Balderas Saenz and Manuela Hernandez.

Pedro is survived by his three sons: Ricky Hernandez, of Lockney, Marcos Zapata (Liza Raquel), of San Antonio, and Pedro Luna Henandez (Olivia), of Plainview; his nine daughters: Lilly Veliz, of Lufkin, Belia Cowans, of South Carolina, Susie Hernandez, of Austin, Leticia Martinez, of Lockney, Elizabeth Andriotis (Yanni), of Wesley Chapel, Florida/Sparta, Greece, Josephina Silva, of Lubbock, Sylvia Rodriguez, of Lockney, and Porky Hernandez, also of Lockney; his sister,  San Juanita Balderas Argullin, of Reynosa, Mexico; thirty four grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren.
