Pedro G. Diaz, 72, of Olton, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely as celebrant. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Pedro was born on December 4, 1946 to Esteban and Maria Diaz in Abilene, TX. He married Helen Baca on July, 1976 in Plainview, TX. Pedro was a retired farmer who enjoyed doing mechanic work. He loved spending time with his grandkids and taking walks.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Pedro is survived by his wife: Helen; four sons: Michael Diaz and wife Selena, Greg Castillo, Ernest Castillo, Fidel Castillo all of Olton; two daughters: Francis Castillo and husband Armando of Lubbock, Julie Diaz of Olton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Lupe and George Diaz; and four sisters: Eva Perez, Rosa Diaz, Domiltla Ramos, and Paula Salazar.
