Paula Hernandez, 81 of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Father George Poonely, officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 2:00PM with a Rosary beginning at 6:00PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Paula was born on July 19, 1940, in La Pryor, Texas to Elias and Genoveva (Moya) Riojas. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Paula is survived by two sons, John (Maria) Riojas and Ben (Ana) Leyva both of Plainview; Nancy Leyva Navarro of Dimmitt; one brother, Elias Riojas, Jr. of Amarillo; two sisters, Lucia Baldez of Plainview and Beatrice Martinez of Lubbock; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, one granddaughter, two great great grandsons, her parents and two brothers.
