Patsy Valdez Garcia, 51 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at her residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Idalou Cemetery in Idalou. Viewing will be held at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Patsy was born on August 31, 1973, in Slaton, Texas to Frank and Mary Valdez. She married Gustavo Garcia on November 30, 2019, in Plainview, Texas.

Patsy was a very giving person and faced many trials and tribulations in her life. She was hard to love, but once you got her love you never lost it. She was very feisty, and she fought for what she loved. Patsy loved her children but more than anything, she cherished her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gustavo Garcia, two sons, Eli Paz III and wife Jessica of Idalou, Texas, and Jaime Rodriguez of Idalou, Texas; two daughters, Erica Paz Perez and husband Javier of Idalou, Texas, and April Paz Miranda and husband Gabriel of Lorenzo, Texas; one step son, Gustavo Garcia Jr. and wife Maria of Plainview, Texas; two step daughters, Paola Garcia and husband Brian Ginez of Plainview, Texas, and Gabriela Garcia and husband Gabriel Nicholas of Plainview, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Marizol Perez, Lalo Perez, Vicktorya Perez, Gabriel Miranda Jr., Isaiah Miranda, Elyza Paz, Natalaya Paz, Emiliano Nicholas, Cielo Ginez, Arleth Garcia, Samara Bustos, Gaby Bustos and Mariana Bustos; three brothers, Frank Valdez Jr. of Plainview, Texas, Jose Muniz and wife Juanita of Lubbock, Texas, and Billy Joe Valdez of Plainview, Texas; four sisters, Carmen Valdez of Plainview, Texas, Sally Rodriguez of Idalou, Texas, Nancy Bustos and husband Jose of Kress, Texas, and Olga Valdez of Plainview, Texas.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Valdez, and one brother, Paul Valdez.
