Patricia was a woman with an adventurous spirit and a heart that longed to see the world.
Patricia Arroyo, 54 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Plainview. A memorial service for Ms. Arroyo will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel officiated by Father Angelo Consemino. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Patricia was born on April 23, 1972, in Plainview, Texas to Rogelio R. Arroyo, Sr. and Benita Munoz. She was a 1991 graduate of Plainview High School. She began working at the Walmart Store in Plainview and worked there for 33 years. Patricia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview.
Patricia was a woman with an adventurous spirit and a heart that longed to see the world. She found great joy in traveling and embraced every opportunity to experience new places and cultures. Her journeys took her to destinations including London, Morocco, Portugal, Cancun, and many other beautiful places throughout the world. Of all the places she visited, Morocco held a special place in her heart. She often spoke of how much she loved it and hoped that one day she would be able to return.
She had a curious mind and loved watching documentaries and ghost stories. Patricia was a gifted storyteller who could bring any memory to life with her words. Whether she was sharing stories from her travels, childhood memories, or family adventures, she had a way of making everyone feel as though they had lived the moment with her. She also had an unforgettable sense of humor. She loved making people laugh, teasing those she loved, and never missed an opportunity to share a joke. Her laughter was contagious, and her honest, witty personality made people naturally gravitate towards her.

Pat had a loving, open heart for all her family, friends and their children, and she will be missed by those that knew her and loved her most, her father, Rogelio Arroyo, Sr. and Lupe Arroyo of Plainview; her sisters, Maria Arroyo (Gerardo Rodriguez), Kathy Garcia both of Plainview, and Victoria Riojas of Lubbock ; her brothers, Jose Arroyo of Tulia, Cesar Cecilio Arroyo, Rogelio Arroyo, Jr. (Gracie), Richard Rubio, Jorge Riojas (Connie), all of Plainview, and Franky Martinez (Stacey) of Lubbock; her nephew, Paul Medrano (Elizabeth) of Floydada, Texas; and her nieces, Raquel Medrano of Plainview, Amy Diaz (Johnny) of Tulia, and Veronica Rocha (Jesus) of Bushland, Texas, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, whom she loved so very much.
Patricia is preceded in death by her mother, Benita Munoz.
