Pablo Yruegas Tijerina, 95 formerly of Plainview, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at his residence. A visitation/viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Pablo was born in Dale, Texas on January 25, 1930, to Eulojio Tijerina and Maria (Yruegas) Tijerina.

Pablo kept up with the news every day, and would follow politics and the political climate, which is something he loved to talk about. He enjoyed conversations with his siblings over the phone and loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eulojio, and Maria Tijerina; one son, Paul Tijerina; grandson, James Jimenez; a brother, Eulojio Tijerina; and six sisters, Lupe Flores, Eloisa Marquez, Alicia Moreno, Mary Aguilar, Francisca Tijerina, and Trina Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his son, Robert Tijerina; two daughters, Yolanda Ovalle, and Diana Jones (Dino); three brothers, Ernest Tijerina (Teresa), Jimmy Tijerina, and Raymond Tijerina (Sara); four sisters, Maria Garcia (Bartolo), Amelia Rodriguez, Gloria Woicke (Herbert), and Eva Martinez (Ricky); four grandchildren, Jacob Jimenez, Jacqueline Esquivel (Jose), Jeremy Jimenez, and Matthew Ovalle; ten great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Brianna, Kazlynn, Miriyah, Mireya, Maleya, James, Myia, and Serenity; and two great-great grandchildren, Myra and Mateo James.

The family of Mr. Tijerina would like to thank Interim Hospice for their compassionate care, especially to Roxanne, Talli, and Pastor Logan of Interim Hospice.
