Minnie Mae Washington, 90 of Plainview, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o' clock in the morning on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Happy Union Baptist Church with Rev Richard Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 o' clock in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Minnie Mae was born November 23, 1930 to the late Thelma and Will Brown in Kerens, Texas where she attended school. Minnie and the late Prezel Washington moved to West Texas in the late 50's to Amherst where she lived for twenty-five years and moved to surrounding areas. Minnie lived in Hart for several years before moving to Plainview. She was a God-fearing woman and a dedicated mother first and foremost. The treasured her children, grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny and enjoyed cooking and cleaning.
She leaves to cherish her memories; four daughters: Joe Ann (James) Jackson of Amarillo, Bobbie Robinson, of Plainview, Barbara (Willie) Finch of Abernathy, and Linda Harris of Cold Spring, Texas. Seven Sons: Larry Brown of Portales, Tommy Washington of Plainview, Melvin Washington of Amarillo, Leonard (Debra) Washington of Waco, Freddy (Shirley) Washington of Waco, and Prezel Jr. (Belinda) Washington of Santa Anna; 44 Grandchildren, 74 Great-grandchildren 3 Great-great-grandchildren: Alice Faye Tubs of Plainview; three brothers: W.T. Brown of Clovis, Bobby Joe Brown of Hart and Jimmy Brown of Amarillo and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Minnie is preceded in death her husband, her parents: Thelma and Will Brown, Her daughters: Roseann Washington and Stella Williams; one son: Larry Wayne Washington; Her sisters: Pinkie Tubs, Beulah Chaves, Linda Rubel, Virginia Brown, Ruby Baston and Peggy Daniel of Kerens, Texas and ; Her brothers: Johnny, Ruby J. and Lewis Brown; one grandson: Christopher Daniel Robinson.
