Miguel "Mike" Ybarra, 60 of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his residence. Visitation and Funeral Service for Mr. Ybarra will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be at 3:00pm~8:00pm, Thursday, November 2, 2023. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm, Friday, November 3, 2023. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Mike was born on October 22, 1963, in Plainview, Texas to Jovito Ybarra and Catalina (Perez) Ybarra. In January of 2015, he met the love of his life Yolanda Sotelo.
Mike was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He had a strong-willed personality and was a very generous man. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and all of his family. He also loved to cook and eat hamburgers. His puppies, Yogi, Chico, Tiny, Black, and Apollo, will especially miss him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jovito and Catalina Ybarra, and a grandson, Julian Jax Lopez.
Mike is survived by his girlfriend of eight years, Yolanda Sotelo; his two sons: Ernest Lopez (Erica Casas) of Plainview, and Joey Nino (Gina Campion) of Madison, Wisconsin; his daughter, Christina Lopez (Tony Gatica) of Madison, Wisconsin; one brother, Richard and Gloria Ybarra of Plainview, Texas; four sisters: Rita Alcozer, Hope Lopez both of Plainview, Texas, Lupia Landon of Lubbock, Texas, and Dolores and Fidel Canales of Amarillo, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
