Melissa Delgado Mendoza, 58 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at her residence. A Memorial Service for Ms. Mendoza will be at 10:00am, on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Melissa was born on May 19, 1967, in Plainview, Texas to Alfonso Delgado and Marcelina (Martinez) Delgado. She was a graduate of Plainview High School and a member of Revive Church in Plainview.
Melissa was a single mother of five children; making sure she raised them by teaching them that anything was possible. She loved family pictures, especially with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. She found joy in attending church services and women's gatherings. Crafting, and being outdoors were a few of her favorite past times that she enjoyed, but the beach was her favorite place to be.
Melissa was always dancing in the kitchen, listening to her Tejano music, and cooking; her love language was through her food. She loved her animals, she always talked about having a farm with pigs, goats, horses, and many other animals.
So many people loved Melissa, and she will be missed tremendously. Please continue to keep her children, family, and friends in your prayers.
Melissa is preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Marcelina Delgado.
Melissa is survived by her three sons, Raynaldo Joshua Enriquez, Raynaldo Jeremy Enriquez, and Raynaldo Jacob Enriquez, all of Clovis, New Mexico; her two daughters, Melissa Enriquez of Lockney, and Destiny Cordova of Clovis, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Aaliyah and Ayonna Cordova, Zariah and Lilly'Anna Barela, Reyna Lucero, and Annabell Galvan; one brother, Leroy Delgado; and two sisters, Adelina Leal, and Alice Alvarado.
