Melinda Anette Chaparro Marquez, 28 of Dimmitt, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Raj Malapady celebrating.  Ms. Chaparro Marquez will lie in repose from noon until 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Friday at the church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Melinda was born December 21, 1991 in Chichuahua, Mexico.

She is survived by her father; two siblings: Renato Chaparro Marquez and wife Araceli of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Deyanira Prieto and husband Daniel of Dimmitt; four nieces and nephews: Danny and Dareli Prieto of Dimmitt, Texas, Laysha and Oyuki Chaparro of Los Lunas, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Minerva Marquez, her grandparents, one aunt and one uncle.
