Mary Alice Rivera Martinez, age 53, of Plainview, passed away June 2, 2017 in Lubbock Texas.  A prayer service will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 6:00pm in the Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.

Mary was born on November 4, 1963 in Hereford, Texas to Santos and Trinidad (Ramon) Rivera.

Mary was a very majestic woman. She has always demonstrated such grace and love, not only to her family, but to anyone who had the opportunity to meet her. She has taught everyone something in on way or another. She has proven to be a spectacular woman, an amazing wife and mother, an unforgettable friend, and a care-taker to all. She will never be replaced, but she may live on through all of us, simply by carrying in her loving ways in our day to day lives. Continue to spread her smiles, her warm embraces, her love, and for sure her compassion.

Things we can remember about her would definitely be her love of the Dallas Cowboys and the joy she found in Bingo!

She is survived by her husband, Fernando Martinez, her mother, Trinidad Rivera, five sisters and three brothers, 14 children, 31 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
