Mary Herrera, 63 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Mary was born on June 4, 1957 in Cotton Center, Texas to Francisco and Juanita (Rodriguez) Sanchez. She married Jesse Herrera on December 12, 1974 in Plainview. Mary loved drag racing with her husband in their younger days. She cherished her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. She welcomed everyone into her home and made sure everyone was safe.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jesse Herrera of Plainview; one daughter, Lisa Ybarra and her husband Chuco of Plainview; five brothers, Roy Sanchez of El Paso, Rudy Sanchez of Fort Worth, Ram Sanchez of San Antonio, David Sanchez and Ray Sanchez both of Plainview; five grandchildren, Brandon Lee Ybarra, Lexi Ybarra, Danielle Marie Herrera, Angel Ybarra and Steven Ybarra; one great grandchild, Nathaniel Herrera. She was preceded in death by one son, Juan Herrera; both parents and two sisters.
