Plainview- Mary Harriss, 79, of Plainview, passed away on December 31, 2014. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Evan Weiss of the 9th and Columbia Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Harriss was born on August 19, 1935 in Winona, MO to Preston Voyles and Martelia Broadfoot Voyles. She married A. D. Harriss Sr. on August 21, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a homemaker who loved playing cards, board games, and spending time with her children. Mary was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church in Plainview. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Arther on October 19, 1994, one brother and a sister. She is survived by 4 sons: Arther Harriss Jr. and wife Katheryn of Plainview, Gary Harriss and wife Teresa of Plainview, Charles Harriss and wife Sandy of Tyler, and Randy Harriss and wife Kristi of Plainview. 2 daughters: Sherry and husband Kirk Richardson and Santana and husband Jeff Abbott both of Hale Center. 15 grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Pallbearers will be Kirk Richardson, Bobby Jones, Chris Fuller, David Wood, Caleb Justice, Eddie Wood, Gabe Olguin and Michael Harriss.
