Mary Ann Halcomb, age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in New Mexico. Visitation for Mrs. Halcomb will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12:00pm-6:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00am, at Sethward Baptist Church in Plainview. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Mary was born in Floydada, Texas on September 13, 1953, to Henry Lee Millican and Juanita June Elder. In 1955 her family moved to Plainview, Texas where she attended schools and graduated from Plainview High School in 1973. On August 24, 1984, she married Ikey Lee Halcomb in Plainview, and they shared 42 years together raising their family.

Mary worked for the Plainview Independent School District for 26 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church where she was a charter member, and Sethward Baptist Church where she was a part of the Ladies of Faith.

Mary’s favorite color was purple, everything purple. Game nights in her home were a must, this was a time for family to be together, and she loved spending time with her family. Mary was spontaneous, fun, and could make people laugh. Her personality was infectious. She loved going to car racing and monster truck events.

Her home was your home; she would make you feel welcomed. There are many that knew her, and many that she has opened her home for, that will greatly miss her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her oldest brother, Alvin Ray Millican.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ikey Halcomb; her two sons, John Henry Haley of Capitan, NM, and Chris Halcomb and wife Shannon, of Alto, NM; seven grandchildren, Sydnee Haley, Zane Halcomb and fiancé, Kyndall Litchfield of Stillwater, OK, Chloe Halcomb and fiancé, Justin Shouse of Capitan, NM, Emily, Keaton, Zachary, Daxton Halcomb all of Alto, NM, and one great-grandson, Noah Shouse. She is also survived by one brother, Bill Millican, of Capitan, NM, and the many sons and daughters that she loved, fed, welcomed and cared for.
