Mary Caudillo, age 83, of Plainview, passed away on March 11, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the New Life Church. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Mary was born on September 12, 1934 to Rafael and Gabriela (Mendoza) Trujillo in Austin, Texas.
She was married to Selestino Caudillo in Hearne, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1983.
Mary and Selestino were blessed with a large and happy family. Mary was devoted to her family, but her first devotion was to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a God-fearing woman who was a Christian for over 50 years. She was a proud member of The Potters House Christian Fellowship Church. Mary loved to spend time with her family, especially her many grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed the outdoors and you could find her on many occasions at her favorite park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Selestino Caudillo, her parents, her son, James Lopez, her brothers, Bush and Robert Trujillo and her sister Dolores Vaca.
Mary is survived by her children, sons, Sammy Caudillo and wife Janie of Lubbock, Tony Caudillo and wife Lina of Plainview, Paulino Caudillo and wife Rosario of Plainview, Johnny Caudillo and wife Dora of Plainview, Ralph Caudillo and wife Felipa of Plainview, Daniel Caudillo and wife Florenda of Hale Center, Peter Caudillo and wife Lina of Owatonna, Minnesota, her daughters, Ruth Rodriguez and husband Juan of Plainview, Vicky Caudillo of Plainview, Mary Ann Rogers and husband John L. of Plainview, Diana Mesa and husband Robert of Brownsville, her brothers, Johnny, Ralph, Richard and Paul Trujillo, hers sisters, Rosie Perez, Vicky Gomes, Lupe Rodriguez, and 42 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
