Martha J. Steele, 81, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Martha was born on June 20, 1945, in Winchester, Tennessee to Horace and Mertie Wiggs. Martha married Brady C. Adams Sr. in 1981 in Los Angeles, California and they spent 43 years together before his passing in 2024. Martha obtained her GED in 1995 and went on to be a CNA. She worked for Christian Manor as a Relief Manager for 15 years before retiring in 2024.

Martha was an avid reader and loved reading her bible. She enjoyed going to church with her daughter, but when she was not attending church, she enjoyed watching her preacher at home. More than anything she loved her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Ricky D. Steele (Mary) of Saltillo, Texas, Sean Steele of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Brady C. Adams, Jr. of Plainview, Texas; her three daughters, Lissa Ievonne Steele of Plainview, Texas, Sara M. Sanchez of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and Jackeline Renee Hall (Michael Hall) of Apple Valley, California; eleven grandchildren, Crystal Clem, Ricky Steele, Jr., Steven Arnold Steele, Brady C. Adams III, Antonio R. Barrett, Ievonne Lorraine Barrett, Trayvon I. Bell, Trashanda Bell, Dazhane Bell, Michael Hall, Jr., and Anthony BT Hall; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; nieces Elaine Turrey (Ronnie), Ievonne Harris (Jim) and Candy Lynn Dryman (Chris); one nephew, William Larry Fults II and many more nieces and nephews; one sister, Candy Fults of Hesperia, California.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Mertie Wiggs, her husband, Brady C. Adams, Sr., daughter, Angela Adams, one son, Michael David Steele, one brother David Lee Wiggs, a granddaughter, Christina Clem and a brother-in-law, Larry Fults.
