Martha Atwood, age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 in Plainview. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Martha was born in Spur, Texas on June 20, 1937, to Alton Ray and Bertie May McMillan. She married Delbert James Atwood on December 13, 1954, in Clovis, New Mexico.

Martha loved her pets and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Atwood, her son Delbert John Atwood, and her parents, Alton and Bertie Ray.

Martha is survived by her two sons, Daniel Lee Atwood of Kress, Texas, and Vance James Atwood of Olton, Texas; her three daughters, Barbara Hamilton and husband Jimmie of Abernathy, Texas, LaQuita Smith of Tucson, Arizona, and Quilly Keith and husband Tim of Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Patsy Eagle of Grants, New Mexico; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
