Olton
Marisela's love, laughter, strength, and the joy she brought into every room will never be forgotten.
Marisela Cruz Herrera, 59, of Olton, Texas passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. Viewing and visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Marisela Cruz, who was born on April 21, 1967, in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to her loving parents, Manuel and Yrma Herrera.
Marisela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, and there was nothing she loved more than spending time with those she held dear—especially her grandchildren.
Marisela found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She loved sitting outside and watching her grandchildren play, going cruising while listening to music, attending bingo nights with her husband and sisters, getting dressed up and doing her makeup, and dancing. Above all, she had a special gift for making everyone around her laugh. Her sense of humor, joyful spirit, and unforgettable personality will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Marisela was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Yrma Herrera; her beloved daughters, Elizabeth Del Castillo and Irma Ramirez; her brother, Manuel Herrera; and her sister, Maria Herrera.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Jose Cruz; her children, Zoila Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, and Antonio Herrera; her sisters, Angelica Herrera and Nadine Flores; and her cherished grandchildren, Karen Yebra, Robert Yebra, Mateo Yebra, Virginia Colunga, Madison Del Castillo, Leticia Del Castillo, Brianna Del Castillo, and Ruben Del Castillo, Kayla Ramirez, Aryanna Ramirez, Celeste Rodriguez, and Miah-lynn Herrera along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Marisela's love, laughter, strength, and the joy she brought into every room will never be forgotten. Her family was her greatest treasure, and her love will continue to live through each of them.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
