Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Marion was born June 20, 1936 in Dougherty Texas, Rains County to Oren and Ethel (Owens) Cross. He married Darla Allison on December 10, 1955 in Lockney and they remained married until her passing in September, 2005.

He married Robbie Wright in 2006. Marion worked at Delta Pine Land Hybrid Seed in Akin, Texas for over 30 years. Although it changed ownership, he remained employed until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking and teasing his friends. His word was his bond and he was someone upon whom you could depend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Darla; one daughter, Kelly Cross and one son, Dr. Ricky Cross.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robbie, of the home; two sons, Curtis Cross and Patrick Cross; one stepson, Eric Thompson and one step daughter, Jessica Thompson. He is also survived by one brother, Larry Cross; one sister, Bobbi Pierce; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
