Mario Guerra, age 60, passed away on February 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Apostolic Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church at 1504 Houston St. with Armando Cardenas Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Mario was born on September 4, 1957 in San Benito, Texas to Enrique DeLeon and Josefina (Salazar) Guerra. He attended school in San Benito.
Mario was a very social and caring person. He loved to help his community and was kind to those in need, "He would give you the shirt off his back." He loved the singer Selena and his other favorite past time was being a flirt and a half.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Enrique Jr, Ruben, Ernesto, Lazaro and Sergio Guerra.
Mario is survived by his daughter, Leslie Delgado and husband Jesus Antonio of Plainview; grandchildren, Jesse Delgado, Cassandra K. Delgado, Catherine A. Delgado, and Cassidy N. Delgado; sisters, Maria Dalia Olson of Plainview, Sandra Guerra Porter and husband Herald of Lamar, Colorado, Diana Guerra of Corpus Christi, Elisa Luna and husband Joe of Robstown, Silvia Ann Orozco and husband Heriberto of Liberal, Kansas; brothers, Balerio Guerra Sr. of San Benito and David Guerra of Plainview.
