Maria Sosa, 77 of Plainview, passed away on September 18, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Maria was born on March 19, 1944, in Mexico to Teodoro and Feliciana Sierra Martinez. She was a health care provider at a nursing home.
Maria is survived by her husband: Luis Antonio Chapa of Houston; one son: Jose Dario Sosa (Cindy) and one daughter: Edith Schley (Heath) both of Harlingen; two sisters: Sebastiana Martinez Sierra and Alicia Cedillo; two brothers: Esmael Martinez Sierra and Felix Martinez Sierra; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren

Maria is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.
