Maria Vera Rodriquez, 88 of Plainview, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. Funeral Service for Mrs. Rodriquez will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Plainview, with Pastor Joe Barrera officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Maria was born on March 26, 1933, in Ballinger, Texas to Octaviano and Eugenia (Gomez) Vera. She married Gregorio D. Rodriquez in 1948 in Plainview. He passed away on December 22, 1995. Maria enjoyed making quilts, cooking for family and friends, praying, and reading her bible. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandkids.

Maria is survived by one son, Mario David (Kendra) Rodriquez of Plainview; two daughters, Erma Hernandez of Fort Worth and Rosemary (Oscar, Jr.) Lamb of Plainview; one sister, Josie Soto of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; one son in law, Gustavo Hernandez; six brothers, Robert, Mike, Martin, Raul, Otto, and Rey Vera and one sister, Francisca Guevara.
